About Research Databases

Databases are gateways to information! Holy Family suscribes to a number of databases that collect, organize, and make accessible legititmate, scholarly, academic, and consumer-oriented journals, magazines, books, and other publications that support your research. Our databases generally fall into two categories:

  • Multi-disciplinary databases
  • Subject-specific databases

Open the Research Databases page to see the entire list.  Please read each database's description to determine if it is appropriate for your research. Each database has a "Help" section with instructions and search tips.

Research databases are accessible only to Holy Family students, faculty, and staff (their content is not available on the open web).

Databases on the Go

There are two ways to access the library's EBSCO databases on your mobile phone or tablet device. The main database page includes a mobile-friendly link to the EBSCO databases, and you can also download an app from EBSCO which allows direct access to Holy Family University databases from your phone.
