A Word About Call Numbers

While it is always best to search the library catalog (see below) for materials that are in print, you will find education-related books in these call numbers at both the Philadelphia Campus Library or the Newtown LRC:

L - Education 

LA - Fundamentals of education, education history

LB - Theory and practical aspects of teaching, lesson planning materials, general education topics

LC - Special education and social aspects of education

BF - Psychology related to education and child development 

For lesson planning materials and teaching in the subject areas, check subject-specific call numbers:

H - social studies topics

PE and PN - language arts and reading

Q - Science

QA - Math

Locating Books at Holy Family and Beyond

Searching for materials at Holy Family is easy! To locate books:

a) Click on the "books" icon 

b) Enter a book title or group of words that describe your topic

c) Click the magnifying glass search icon 

d) When your results from the Library Catalog appear, you may see many titles held in libraries worldwide. (Books that Holy Family owns will be listed first). Use the limits on the left side of the screen to narrow your search to materials located ONLY at Holy Family. You can also limit by year and additional items.

e) Your results may include printed books and ebooks.
